BRAND:
AGV Sport was born in the early days of AGV helmets entry into the North
American market. Having its origin in safety helmets have AGV Sport a unique
outlook in the apparel industry. Founded in 1985, AGV Sport sought to introduce
more technical features into motorcycle apparel instead of relying on style
alone as was the common practice. AGV Sport products have consistently won best
in class awards from numerous motorcycle publications around the world. A high
tech helmet mentality drives the development of most of the AGV Sport products.
AGV Sport provides motorcyclists with a line of both affordable entry level
products as well as world class high end products hand crafted in Italy.
SELECTION: AGV Sport offers a full line of European styled motorcycle
gear. Their one piece and two piece suits are some of the lowest priced
track-ready suits on the market in the USA. AGV Sport offers a large selection
of both leather and textile jackets and pants for everyday street riding. The
AGV Sport range of gloves includes very light weight, perforated leather,
heavier track-ready leather and textile street riding styles. The 2007 line of
motorcycle boots expanded AGV Sport previous offering by adding the Laguna style
boot with reinforced ankle and heel supports.
FIT:
AGV Sport fits very similar to other European brands. Most are designed around a
slender, average height rider with an athletic build. If you are a little on the
heavy side, you may need to go to a larger size depending on your critical
sizing areas. The riding suits do run tight so either call us for sizing or
consult their sizing chart for dimensions. The jackets are snug fit and we
recommend you size by chest and arm length since most waistbands are adjustable.
The boots, pants and gloves fit true to size so either call us for
recommendations or use your normal size to purchase.
PERFORMANCE: AGV Sport is a great performing product for the purchase
price. AGV Sport incorporates many features only found in more expensive brands
such as triple stitching the seams, wide range of adjustments and lots of extra
armor and padding. Their focus over the past few years has been at the track
level. They offer a large amount of contingency money for racers if you are
wearing a AGV Sport suit, gloves and boots and you place in a club, regional or
professional event. We outfit our sponsored racer, Bryan Lemaire, with an AGV
Sport suit. Bryan is a very aggressive rider and his last AGV Sport suit
maintained its protection through 7 high speed crashes. Only after his last
crash, at Texas World Speedway, did the back of the suit begin to tear open.
RETURN
RATE: The return rate for AGV Sport is average and mostly for sizing. Be
sure to consider your build when selecting a size and keep in mind that AGV
Sport is designed for slender, athletic build riders.
OUR
RECOMMENDATION: We recommend AGV Sport to any amateur or club level
regional racer. The suits are well made and can withstand a lot of punishment.
We also recommend AGV Sport to entry level street riders that want a
conservative styling at an affordable price. You should not choose AGV Sport if
you are a heavier rider with a little extra around the waist. Finding the
correct size for you may be difficult.
